Darren Wassall has full Derby squad to choose from for Terriers test

Darren Wassall has a full squad to choose from against Huddersfield as Derby look to record successive home wins for the first time this year.

The Rams boss revealed at his pre-match press conference that Will Hughes, sidelined since suffering a serious knee injury on the opening day of the season, is looking good in training and will be ready to play in an Under-21 game soon. The 20-year-old midfielder should feature again this campaign.

Striker Darren Bent will return to the reckoning after migraine problems, giving Wassall plenty of options should he wish to make changes to the team that started the defeat to Wolves.

Defender Jake Buxton, midfielders Craig Bryson, Jamie Hanson and Tom Ince and forwards Nick Blackman and Andreas Weimann all began on the bench at Molineux and are vying for recalls.

Huddersfield will be without midfielder Jonathan Hogg, who has been ruled out for eight weeks due to a knee injury sustained in last week's home defeat to Ipswich.

Philip Billing sits out the second game of his three-match ban and fellow midfielder Emyr Huws remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

Defender Joel Lynch will be monitored after being forced off with a knock against Ipswich, but Joe Lolley could return to contention after missing out last weekend.

Winger Sean Scannell is closing in on a return after a knee injury and recent signing Elvis Manu is pushing for his first start after four substitute appearances.
