Rams wait on marksman Martin

Leading scorer Chris Martin is an injury concern for Derby ahead of Doncaster's visit to the iPro Stadium.

Martin took a whack on the shin in training this week and the 13-goal striker will be assessed ahead of the game on Saturday as the fourth-placed Rams look to record a seventh successive league victory - something the club last achieved during the promotion-winning season of 1995/96.

Will Hughes is set to return to the squad after missing last weekend's win at Charlton through illness. Jeff Hendrick replaced the England Under-21 international against the Addicks and completed his first 90 minutes of senior football since August, having recovered from an ankle injury.

On-loan defender Zak Whitbread, meanwhile, continues to work his way back from a calf injury that has kept him out of action since October.

Yun Suk-Young and Harry Forrester could be pushing for places in the Doncaster squad.

Suk-Young resumed training last week after a month out with an ankle injury and the on-loan QPR full-back has a chance of being involved on Saturday, while forward Forrester has been blighted by a series of problems since signing for Rovers in the summer.

Midfielder Paul Keegan is another player likely to come back into contention over the Christmas period with manager Paul Dickov believing that early in the new year his squad will be as close to full fitness as it has been at any stage this season.

If Doncaster were to revert to a 4-4-2 formation at the iPro Stadium that could mean a recall for Mark Duffy, or a wide right role for former Ram Theo Robinson.
