Stephen Warnock set to line-up in Derby defence for visit of Brighton

Stephen Warnock is fit and expected to continue at left-back for Derby when Sky Bet Championship leaders Brighton visit the iPro Stadium.

Warnock was taken to hospital following a blow to the ribs during the goalless draw at Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, which caused him to vomit on the pitch.

Goalkeeper Scott Carson missed that stalemate with a back injury and he will not be available, having not trained this week, so Lee Grant will remain between the posts.

Derby head coach Paul Clement will keep any changes to a minimum but has plenty of options at his disposal with the likes of Ryan Shotton, Chris Baird, Jeff Hendrick, Darren Bent and Johnny Russell pushing for recalls.

Unbeaten Brighton are hopeful Inigo Calderon will be fit.

The Spaniard was deputising in Albion's troublesome left-back spot against Charlton last week when he had to go off with a foot injury.

First-choice left-back Gaetan Bong is still out with a thigh problem and his replacement, Liam Rosenior, suffered a knee injury the week before.

Striker Sam Baldock (thigh) and winger Kazenga LuaLua (groin) are out until the new year.
