Derby 2 Reading 1: Hulse caps fight back as Long receives marching orders
Match winner: Derby County's Rob Hulse[LNB]Rob Hulse rescued Derby again when his sixth goal of the season floored Reading who had Shane Long sent off for a straight red card. [LNB]Hulse had scored twice in the previous home game and he completed another fightback started by Paul Green who cancelled out Gylfi Sigurdsson's opener. [LNB]The teams were level on points before the game and there was little between them during an edgy first half in which Gary Teale went close for Derby and Jimmy Kebe blazed over for the visitors. [LNB]Reading had lost midfielder Brian Howard midway through the first half and they made another change when Shane Long replaced Simon Church at half time. [LNB]But Reading were ahead in the 56th minute when Jay Tabb surged into the box and the ball broke to Sigurdsson who scored off the foot of a post. [LNB]Derby were level five minutes later after Teale whipped a low ball across goal and Green smashed in his second of the season. [LNB]The midfielder should have put Derby in front when Paul Dickov set him up but he fired wide from 12 yards although the home side went ahead in the 74th minute. [LNB]Teale's backheel released Jay McEveley who delivered an excellent cross that Hulse drove in at the near post and Reading then lost Long when he went over the top on Fredrik Stoor.
