Derby County striker Kris Commons insists he wants to stay despite being heavily linked with a move to Celtic. The Scotland international's deal runs out in the summer and he could see his contract out and leave as a free agent. [LNB]But the 27-year-old told BBC Radio Derby: "There's been stuff going on for a good two or three months now, but I have no control over that. [LNB]"As for a football perspective, there is nothing on my mind other than playing football for Derby." [LNB]Rams chief executive Tom Glick has said the club are confident of keeping Commons and discussions are ongoing. [LNB]But until the deal is signed, speculation about a move away from Nigel Clough's Championship side continues to mount. [LNB]Commons added: "I think Nigel has been badgering the owners to get a contract written up and he says he is desperate for me to sign it. [LNB]"To have a manager who wants you that badly and to have a player who wants to stay that much you'd think they would be able to sort something out but we're just waiting to hear and see."
