Clough welcomes fortnight's break

The Rams boss hopes that a rest from the rigours of the Championship will give his players time to recharge their batteries, and others the chance to recover from injury ahead of Burnley's visit to Pride Park on April 4. Derby were again without defenders Jay McEveley (hamstring) and Jordan Stewart (back), winger Kris Commons (calf) and striker Chris Porter (hip) for Saturday's goalless home draw against Barnsley. Clough expects to have the quartet available against the Clarets, he said: "More than anything, the break will give us time to get the injured lads back. It is not a case of trying to get them ready for Tuesday and Saturday, we have got a good two weeks now. "They are on course at the moment and a few of them were pretty close to making the Barnsley game. We will be organising a friendly game for next week and hopefully they will feature in that if they are fit. "We will be doing some work in the next two weeks and resting as well."
