Clough wants players' futures sorted

Nigel Clough wants to resolve the futures of his players before discussing a new contract as Derby manager. The Rams have risen to fourth in the npower Championship on the back of six wins in eight games and reports suggest Clough is in line for a new deal. However, before committing his long-term future to the club, Clough is keen to ensure several members of his squad and backroom team are looked after. "I don't know anything about my own situation. When we were in the bottom three six weeks ago I was supposed to be out the door," said Clough. "But I wouldn't contemplate a new contract before all members of my support staff have signed theirs. And before that we have got several player negotiations to sort out."
