Clough to reinforce Rams' defence

Clough hopes to bolster his squad with as many as four new players but shoring up the Rams' defence is foremost in his thinking following injuries to Dean Leacock and Miles Addison.[LNB]Leacock is out until the end of February after undergoing knee surgery while Addison limped off in the first half of Tuesday's FA Cup third-round replay victory over Millwall with a recurrence of a foot problem.[LNB]Shaun Barker returned to action as Addison's replacement but it was his first taste of first-team action in six weeks following a thigh injury.[LNB]"We could do with a centre-half in as cover, so we are pursuing that and one or two others as well," Clough said. "We already have three loan players. You are allowed five in a matchday squad but we might go above that, if we can, to boost the squad.[LNB]"We are looking to improve the squad. Some will just be pure loans, some maybe to have a look at for next season."[LNB][LNB]
