Clough stays positive after draw

Clough fielded a much-changed side from the 2-0 win at Yeovil, with Jay McEveley, Robbie Savage and Luke Varney the only survivors in a predominantly youthful starting XI. Although they showed determination and endeavour, the Rams could not break down Torquay's stubborn defence. Nevertheless, their manager was satisfied with the workout at Plainmoor. "Torquay caused us problems, they were always going to. They are a League club now and it is lovely to see them back in League Two again," Clough told the Derby Evening Telegraph. "It was very much a second string but it was very good experience for the young lads in the team. "It was nice to keep another clean sheet but we didn't do enough going forward to get a goal."
