Clough: Rams are in good shape
The Rams rounded off their pre-season campaign with the draw courtesy of a late goal from teenage substitute Arnaud Mendy and Clough is now looking forward to getting started against Peterborough next weekend.
He told the club's official website: "We are satisfied with what we've seen and we think we are in good shape ahead of the Peterborough game.
"There was some good football played against a very good side, who are particularly difficult to break down at times; to score twice against them is very pleasing.
"The system we played, with three in the middle and the wingers supporting the striker works well when the players are confident and want the ball.
"It's the way we have played all pre-season and it will be the way we play next week against Peterborough."
