Clough hopeful over Rams stars

The Rams boss is optimistic that Kris Commons will be fit. The Scotland forward has been receiving treatment on a calf injury after being stretchered off in the 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace last weekend. Clough is also hopeful that captain Paul Connolly (foot) and fellow defenders Dean Leacock (calf) and Miles Addison (foot) together with strikers James Vaughan (dead leg) and Rob Hulse (hip) will recover in time. Vaughan, on a three-month loan deal from Everton, made his first appearance for Derby at Selhurst Park and is expected to make his full home debut if fit. Defender Jake Buxton (hernia) and midfielder Paul Green (foot) underwent operations at the end of last week and are expected to return soon after next month's international break.
