Clough expects Pearson recall

Pearson was overlooked by Craig Levein for his first match in charge against the Czech Republic on Wednesday night but Clough believes the 27-year-old's form will eventually be recognised with an international recall.[LNB]The last of Pearson's 10 caps came in a European Championship qualifying defeat to Georgia in October 2007.[LNB]Pearson has endured an injury-interrupted spell at Pride Park but he has missed just six of Derby's 38 league and cup matches this season.[LNB]"All Stephen has to do is keep playing well and a call will come. He has age on his side and plenty of time to get back in the squad," said Clough[LNB]"Some people might think he is a bit injury-prone but the only way to disprove that is to be out there playing well and that's what he is doing. This is the longest he has been fit for some time and it is showing in his performances. He is playing with energy and is full of running."[LNB][LNB]
