Clough encouragement for sharpshooters

Derby manager Nigel Clough hailed two fantastic goals despite seeing his side held to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace. Derby were ahead in the seventh minute after Stephen Pearson slotted home his first of the season. Dean Moxey levelled for the hosts with a long-range volley before Jamie Ward edged Derby ahead again in the second half with a spectacular drive. However, Darren Ambrose's late penalty means Palace, who are four points above the Championship relegation zone, have still not lost at home since October. Clough said: "Both strikes were fantastic, Dean Moxey and Jamie Ward's, they both hit the same spot. "You won't see too many better this weekend, both great goals. You can appreciate them when you haven't lost. "They were both from an angle and had two very good goalkeepers in and they had no chance. "It was vital not to lose, especially with Sheffield United winning. It's a nice gap - I wish there were only three games to go."
