Clough buoyed by Bywater form

The 27-year-old's current deal is set to expire in the summer, and only last week he made it clear that he wanted to extend his stay at Pride Park.[LNB]His future at the club has looked uncertain at times in the past year. A promotion winner with the Rams in 2007, he lost his place to Roy Carroll last season and spent three months on loan at Ipswich.[LNB]He started the current campaign as second choice behind Carroll, but has started the last five matches under new manager Nigel Clough and has impressed the former Burton boss.[LNB]"We are hoping to be able to announce something in the next couple of days. I know there have been discussions, which have gone very well," Clough told the Derby Telegraph.[LNB]"We have been pleased with him and he has looked better as the games have gone on. He kept a clean sheet on Saturday (at Plymouth) and he looked very composed and assured."[LNB][LNB]
