Clough banking on Porter fitness

Boss Nigel Clough hopes Chris Porter can remain injury-free for the final fortnight of Derby`s pre-season preparations. The striker missed the friendly matches against Burton and Southend with an inflamed hip. He recovered from that problem to play 45 minutes against Bournemouth on Wednesday night and is expected to start when the Rams make the short trip to Chesterfield on Saturday. "It was good to have him playing at Bournemouth to get some minutes under his belt," Clough told the club`s official website. "He is a week behind everyone else so he will get another game at the weekend and build up from there. Hopefully he can play right the way through now."
