City hopeful of Rams go-ahead
Bristol City are hopeful that this weekend's Championship match against Derby will go ahead as planned.
Heavy snowfall and freezing conditions have decimated the Football League programme recently.
City do not have undersoil heating at Ashton Gate but the club are taking steps to try to ensure that the pitch will be playable.
"The pitch will be covered at some point this week and there is also the possibility of bringing in some heaters to help it thaw if necessary," said a club spokesman.
"Our ground staff will be doing everything they can to get the game on."
