Buxton hit by injury
Derby defender Jake Buxton will miss the start of pre-season training as he continues to be troubled by injury.
The centre-back was sidelined towards the end of last season due to a problem affecting his groin and stomach and the Rams have so far been unable to get to the bottom of the problem.
"Jake has had this groin/stomach injury, which we have had a problem diagnosing exactly what it is," said manager Nigel Clough.
"He has been seeing specialists since the end of the season and nobody has been able to pinpoint yet what it is.
"We are hoping we can get to the bottom of it but he is unlikely to start pre-season at this stage."
