Buxton further injury woe

Jake Buxton out of the Rams side for a further three weeks after injury in training Buxton has been out of the Rams starting line up for most of last season with numerous problems to his back, stomach and groin but was making progress toward being fit enough to return to the Rams squad. The latest cruel blow for Buxton happened in training, he was in collision with a team mate and has fractured an eye socket. The injury will require surgery and Buxton is expected to undergo the operation today (Thursday 8th September). Recovery time will be at least three weeks and even after that Buxton may be required to wear a mask to shield the injury when training and playing. Defensive player injuries are a problem at the moment for the Rams but good news came in the fact that Russell Anderson came through a full ninty minute reserve team game at Christchurch Meadow, Belper last night. A game the Rams reserves won 6-1...
