Buxton back in reckoning for Rams

The centre-half started the first six games of the season, but has since been out with hernia and groin problems.[LNB]However Buxton played 80 minutes for the reserves earlier this month and completed another game for the second string on Tuesday to put himself in contention.[LNB]With Shaun Barker (thigh) and Miles Addison (foot) still out and Dean Leacock (knee) a doubt, Barker could partner Jay McEveley at the heart of the defence as the Rams look to bounce back from a deflating performance in the home defeat by Doncaster.[LNB]It is hoped another defender, Fredrik Stoor, will resume training after an ankle injury forced him to miss out last weekend. The on-loan Fulham right-back is set to return to the Premier League club after this game.[LNB]Skipper Robbie Savage is expected to be fit despite his recent hamstring problems, while forward Kris Commons could be involved over the festive period after over two months out with the same injury.[LNB][LNB]
