Derby goalkeeper Ross Atkins has had his loan spell at Tamworth extended until January. The 20-year-old joined the Blue Square Premier club on a month-long deal on August 10 and has impressed Lambs boss Gary Mills with his performances. He will now remain with Tamworth until January 8. "It is a great experience for Ross to be out playing first-team football and it is a move that suits all parties," Derby manager Nigel Clough told the club`s official website. "There is no substitute for gaining experience and we view this loan spell as an important part of his development. "Gary Mills has assembled a good, strong squad and they have started the season well, and from the reports we are getting back Ross has been playing well."
