Anderson reveals injury frustration

Derby defender Russell Anderson is eager to make an impression in the remainder of the season following an injury-plagued campaign. The Scottish defender has played just 60 minutes of first-team football this term, with groin, calf and hamstring problems keeping him on the sidelines. Anderson is set to return in Wednesday night's reserve game against Port Vale and told the Derby Telegraph: "How much have I missed playing? I've hated it. "When you are injured, you go to all the home games and to a few of the away games and, from a selfish point of view, it is just horrible. "Fortunately, I am fit now and I have got nine games left to try to prove myself to the manager and try to get back in the team."
