Denmark coach Morten Olsen is sweating on the fitness of winger Dennis Rommedahl ahead of Tuesday's vital Group C game against Sweden.
The PSV Eindhoven star limped out of Denmark's 2-0 victory over Bulgaria with a thigh injury and has not been able to train since.
The Danish camp are though optimistic that Rommedahl will be able to play some part against their Scandinavian neighbours.
Team doctor Mogens Kreutzfeldt said: "We will have to wait and see as far as the Sweden game is concerned.
"Dennis has a strain in his left thigh and hip and an injury like that can easily get worse.
"But we are hoping to see some kind of improvement."
Should Rommedahl be unable to take his place in the line-up Jesper Gronkjaer, who scored after coming off the bench against Bulgaria, is likely to be handed a starting berth.
Both sides enter the match knowing that a victory would guarantee them a place in the last eight and Denmark are not the only ones with injury concerns.
Sweden's right-back Teddy Lucic suffered a rib injury in his country's opening game of the tournament and still has not recovered.
Team doctor Anders Valentin said: "At this moment in time, I don't think he's going to play in the next match."
The Swedes will also be without Everton midfielder Tobias Linderoth after he picked up yellow cards in the games against Bulgaria and Italy.
