The veteran played under Todd during his time at Bradford and insists there is no better place for him to start his coaching apprenticeship - and end his playing career. "When Colin asked me to be his number two I was delighted," he told the club's official website. "Some players can find it is very difficult to get a job in football nowadays and there are a lot of players out of work. "I have always been intrigued by it (coaching) while I was a player. I did all my badges while I was playing and I've always wanted to stay in football after I've stopped playing - and there is no one better to learn from than Colin. "He is very fair and very honest. He can be ruthless but the one thing about Colin is that he won't hold any grudges. He can knock you down but he will pick you back up the next day. "Colin wants me to come in and play as well. I try to keep myself as fit as I can, I am the young age of 40 now but I keep myself fit and I look after myself. Lets hope if I do play I will score a few goals for the club."
