Unlucky Carl happy to stay

Loan signing Carl Tremarco made his debut against Bradford City, almost three weeks after joining Darlington on loan from Wrexham.

The 23-year-old defender had been due to play in a number of postponed matches and has spoken of his relief at finally getting involved.

"A few of my mates have been giving me stick, saying I'm going to be the only player ever to go on loan but not play a game," Tremarco, speaking to the Northern Echo, joked.

"It feels good to be part of the squad, I just can't wait to play.

"I'd like to stay longer. I'm not hiding the fact I'd love to stay at Darlington as long as I can. So if something was sorted out, I'd be made up."
