TV company pulls the plug on Darlington match

The plug has been pulled on Darlington's game today with Barrow with television company Premier Sports deciding not to broadcast the game live.[LNB] Quakers' match at The Northern Echo Arena was due to be screened by the subscription channel, hence the kick-off being moved to 4pm.[LNB] But they have suffered wasted costs on several postponed games and, with a frost forecast for last night, have now decided not to risk sending any crew to The Northern Echo Arena for fear of the fixture falling fall foul of the weather.[LNB] Despite the lack of television coverage the match's kick-off time remains at 4pm, though the game is not certain to go ahead due to last night's forecast freezing temperatures.[LNB] Should it take place, Darlington will be looking for only their third win in 11 games following a slump that has seen them drop to 13th place.[LNB] Manager Mark Cooper must make at least one change with Danny Hone being replaced in defence as he played the final match of his loan on Saturday and has returned to Lincoln City.[LNB] He was the only outfield player not to miss a minute of the action during the first 25 league and cup games of the season.[LNB] Contenders for his position are Liam Hatch, who started Saturday's game as a striker before reverting to centre-back after the break, and Kevin Austin.[LNB] At the beginning of the season Quakers drew 1-1 at Barrow who are the only club in the division yet to win a league game away from this season.[LNB] Former Darlington striker Gregg Blundell will be in the Barrow squad, though fellow former Quaker Robin Hulbert is suspended. The midfielder was sent off during Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Southport.[LNB] Liverpool-born Blundell, who has made seven appearances this season but is yet to score, moved to Barrow from Chester which was his destination after being released by Darlington 18 months ago.[LNB] A Dave Penney signing in January 2007, Blundell scored 11 goals in his 81 appearances while at Quakers, though around half were as a substitute.[LNB]
