Todd vows to strive on at Darlington

The former Bolton and Bradford manager replaced Dave Penney in May as the Quakers were exiting administration under new owner Raj Singh and has hastily assembled a new squad on a tight budget. "Without a shadow of doubt it's the worst spell I've been in as a manager. I've never been in a situation like this," said Todd, whose side have lost all but one of their eight matches so far. "I've lost three or four successive games before, but not as many as this. I knew it was going to be hard, but I thought we would have more points at this stage. "I was expecting to have around five points after eight games, which we could have had with a bit more luck, but it's very difficult. "I can't wave a magic wand and say we'll win on Saturday, we're relying on other people, but we're confident we can turn it round and will strive to do so."
