Todd targets new faces
COLIN TODD is hoping to recruit three players in time for Saturdays bottom versus top clash against Bournemouth with a new goalkeeper and right back his priority.
Sixteen players have joined Darlington over the summer but Todd is refusing to slow down his squad rebuilding programme as he bids to drag Quakers away from the foot of the table.
Nathan Porritt and Jordan Cook have been allowed to return to Middlesbrough and Sunderland respectively, with Todd swiftly plugging the gap by signing Republic of Ireland U19 winger Jamie Devitt on a months loan from Hull City.

The Eire youth international becomes the third Hull player to join Darlington this summer following the arrival of Matt Plummer and James Bennett. Devitt played for Phil Browns side in the Asia Trophy during pre-season and he comes highly recommended.
I used my contacts to get Bennett and Plummer and now weve brought Jamie in for a one month deal that may end up being longer, explained the assistant boss.
Hes an Irish youth international, a good crosser of the ball and an intelligent player. He can link up play well and I think he will improve us.
Hes only young but hes a confident lad he came on and scored a penalty for Hull in pre-season and itll do us no harm to have someone who can take spot kicks!
I dont recommend bad players, we are trying to bring in boys that will improve the team.
Results havent gone our way but the supporters have been superb so I cant fault them. Its up to us to turn things around and why not start on Saturday against Bournemouth
