Todd takes positives from defeat

Crewe put four past Grimsby at the weekend, but there was to be no repeat against resilient Darlington who held out bravely until a low angled drive from Calvin Zola three minutes from the end gave the Railwaymen the points. "It is very early days yet and once we start doing the simple things like concentrating for 90 minutes then results will start to go our way," said Todd. "I have to give the players credit. They performed well against a side who were relegated last year and they will be up near the top this season, make no mistake of that. "Crewe said that they were surprised with the way that we got at them and that is nice to hear from your opponents. "Yes, we are all disappointed but it's too early to press the panic button. Once we have started to put our chances away we will be ok."
