Surprise change to Quakers line-up

Marc Bridge-Wilkinson does not make the line-up for Darlington's first away of the season at Fleetwood Town this evening.[LNB] The play-maker is a surprise omission as the only change from the Mark Cooper XI which beat Braintree Town on Saturday.[LNB] He was substituted midway through the first half against Braintree and Cooper later explained that the former Carlisle ace was not yet fully fit having undergone a hernia operation during June.[LNB] His place in the side is taken by striker Ryan Bowman, so a switch in formation is likely against the promotion favourites.[LNB] Fleetwood brought in a host of quality signings during the summer, including defender Rob Atkinson and striker Richard Brodie, two players that Cooper made attempts to take to The Northern Echo Arena.[LNB] Brodie is on the bench this evening, as is reserve keeper Danzelle St Louis Hamilton who left Darlington after the end of last season.[LNB] Fleetwood Town (4-4-2): Davies; Flynn, Atkinson, McNulty, Goodall; Brown, Barry, McGuire, Cox; Donnelly, Mangan. Subs: St Louis Hamilton (gk), Vieira, Briggs, Seddon, Brodie Darlington (4-3-3): Russell, Purkiss, Miller, Lee, G Taylor; Chandler, Atkinson, K Taylor; Bowman, Hatch, Walshaw. Subs: Pocklington (gk), Arnison, McReady, Bridge-Wilkinson, Campbell[LNB]
