Staunton: We must be more clinical

Phil Jevons and Paul Mullin scored the goals for Sammy McIlroy's side and the loss leaves Darlington 12 points adrift at the bottom of League Two.[LNB]Despite their predicament, Staunton took positives from the game ahead of some tricky upcoming fixtures against Chesterfield and Notts County.[LNB]"We started badly and we were made to pay because we were 1-0 down after just 10 minutes and that makes things difficult," he said. "I thought we were in the game for the rest of the first half though and probably had the better chances with their keeper making a fabulous save from Alan White's header.[LNB]"I said at half-time that I thought we could get something from the game but we gave away a sloppy goal and that was a real sickener for us.[LNB]"We had a couple of other chances after that but we didn't take them either and we have to be sharper up front and be more clinical if we are going to win games. There were plenty of positives though which was good because we have some tough games coming up."[LNB][LNB]
