STEVE STAUNTON hopes to bolster his Darlington squad before the deadline for loan signings closes today.[LNB] The beleaguered Quakers boss says attracting players to the League Two's bottom club is not an issue. Conversely the problem is getting players to move on to free up spaces in the squad to accommodate new players.[LNB] David Knight, Paul Arnison, Matt Plummer Mark Convery have all been frozen out by Staunton who saw his side crushed 4-0 at home by midtable Morecambe on Tuesday.[LNB] We can attract players alright, it's finance that is the issue and we've got a fairly hefty squad that's been inherited[LNB] explained Staunton, who admitted he would like to add experience to his squad.[LNB] The chairman has been good enough to allow us some movement but we're going to move a few out before we get some in. It's a case of getting people out so we can bring in fresh bodies. Nothing has happened yet but I'm hoping for some movement before the weekend.[LNB] We're trying all the time to get more players in, but we're restricted in many ways. A lot of clubs are after players.[LNB] Staunton was left frustrated with his team's errorstrewn performance on Tuesday night and added: For the first goal it was a simple pass that was mis-controlled and for the second goal we all go to sleep. I don't know where the whole of the right side of the team was.[LNB] We got done by a set-play for the third and it's frustrating and annoying. There's a catalogue of errors that are costing us and people not doing their jobs properly.[LNB] We've been working hard every day of the week the players have been giving me everything and we will continue to do so. But they've got to cut out the silly mistakes.[LNB] There hasn't been a lack of fight in the team but on Tuesday there seemed to be which was disappointing so we'll have to address that.[LNB] Meanwhile, Darlington have opened a club shop in time for Christmas at The Northern Echo in Priestgate, Darlington.[LNB] Defender Ian Miller and midfielder Chris Lumsdon will be at the store at 4.30pm, when fans will be able to get merchandise signed and have their pictures taken.[LNB] The shop will be open from 10am until 2pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 2- 8pm Thursdays and 10am-5pm Saturdays, up until Christmas Eve.[LNB]
