Staunton to sort out sleepy Quakers

07 December 2009 15:13
The Quakers, who went down to a solitary first-half goal against Bradford on Saturday, have now lost 16 of their 20 league matches to lie seven points adrift at the foot of the table. And Staunton is frustrated with his side's tendency to end up chasing matches.[LNB]He said: "I'm trying to think of different ways to explain it, but it's always the same. We conceded a soft goal and then we had a great reaction.[LNB]"But why does it take until half-time, or until we go a goal down, for that reaction to come?[LNB]"The plus was that when we conceded the goal, we didn't capitulate like we have in some games. We showed a bit of courage and bottle.[LNB]"Unfortunately it took us until half-time to get to grips with things. By then we had given away a soft goal at a set play, which is the story of our season."[LNB][LNB]
