Staunton: This is the first tiny step

Despite Lewis Neal giving the Shrews the lead, the Quakers fought back through Jamie Devitt and Simon Thomas to secure all three points in Staunton's first home match in charge. "To come back and win after a start to the game like that was incredible," said Staunton. "After the first went in I thought here we go and was almost waiting for the second. It took us 10 or 12 minutes to settle but from then on they gave everything and I cannot fault anybody. "We want them to express themselves and try new things. There has been a lack of movement in the box and we have told the players to keep moving and something will happen. "This is only the first tiny step and we have more difficult days ahead, but I want players in the club who want to play for the club and after that performance they have shown me that they want to play for us. "We created some great chances and looked dangerous when we attacked."
