Staunton pleased by Quakers show

10 March 2010 12:50
The Quakers, adrift at the foot of the Football League and destined for Blue Square Premier football next season, took the lead when Tadgh Purcell converted a 32nd-minute penalty against the run of play, but Ryan Lowe equalised 10 minutes later with his 14th goal of the season, also from the spot.[LNB]Staunton said: "We maybe could have nicked it. We played some good stuff again and defended much better - and that's not just the big four.[LNB]"The front three worked hard to close them down. We broke their game up well and broke well ourselves, but the final ball wasn't quite there.[LNB]"The lads worked their socks off and we deserved at least a draw. We maybe rode our luck at times, but I think we deserved that because we've been knocking on the door the last few games."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
