The Quakers were on course for their fifth win of the season when Tadgh Purcell's double gave them a two-goal lead, but their capitulation allowed Chesterfield to take all three points.[LNB]Goals in the final 10 minutes from substitute Simon Whaley and Drew Talbot, along with a Richie Byrne own goal, handed the Spireites all three points.[LNB]Staunton said: "For 80 minutes that was our best performance, but I have told the boys that games last for 90 to 95 minutes. Their goals were preventable, even though a couple of them were great strikes.[LNB]"We had put ourselves in a good position with Tadgh's goals and then we shot ourselves in the foot.[LNB]"At 2-2 it was a case of holding on. But an own goal from Richie gave them the win. I feel for the boy as he was probably our best player and nine times out of 10 the ball would have been kicked past the post for a corner."[LNB][LNB]
