Staunton beats deadline to land Leeds defender

STEVE Staunton has used his contacts at former club Leeds United to secure defender Andrew Milne on loan until January 2.[LNB] The deadline for loans is 5pm Thursday November 26 and Staunton has agreed the deal in time for Milne to bolster Quakers squad.[LNB] The 19-year-old is a product of the club's Academy system, featured for the first team squad during pre-season, making his debut at York City.[LNB] He has also made five appearances in Leeds' reserves this season, but has yet to make a competitive appearance with the first team.[LNB] He will have time to get to know his new team-mates on the training ground ahead of Quakers next game away to Notts County on December 1.[LNB]
