Phil Jevons started the rout after 56 minutes when Quakers midfielder Jon Hogg, making his home debut, gave the ball away cheaply.[LNB]Rock bottom Darlington's heads dropped and Laurence Wilson raced away to fire home a second seven minutes later.[LNB]Stewart Drummond converted Craig Stanley's free-kick from close range then, when home keeper Nick Liversedge failed to control the ball, substitute Wayne Curtis rolled in the fourth.[LNB]Darlington have a mountain to climb to steer clear of relegation trouble, though ironically in the first half they had much the better of it.[LNB]Jeff Smith beat two defenders with a touch of class but could not apply a finish from right in front of goal. Smith then sent another drive wide of the target before the luckless Hogg saw a goalbound shot strike his own team-mate. But that was nothing compared to the nightmare that unfolded in the second half.[LNB][LNB]
