Rivals inspired Quakers cup shock

Darlington boss David Hodgson claims his side used Accrington Stanley's shock Carling Cup win against Nottingham Forest to help inspire them in Tuesday's 2-1 victory at Championship side Stoke.
The Quakers were left reeling at the Britannia Stadium when defender Craig James was sent off for a reckless tackle after just 12 minutes and Potters star Vincent Pericard put the hosts ahead on 29 minutes.
However, the League Two side hit back before half-time through Carlos Logan and Julian Joachim hit a 25-yard screamer to send them through.
Afterwards Hodgson revealed: "I pinned up a report of Accrington's win over Forest and made the players read it.
"They wanted to win more than Forest and we wanted to win more than Stoke.
"I did fear the worst when we were reduced to 10 men but sometimes things like that bond you together and our boys were inspired."
