Reassurances to rest of squad

DARLINGTON'S out-offavour players will be called up soon rather than later, says manager Mark Cooper, who has moved to reassure those not currently in his first XI.[LNB] He is unlikely to make any changes for this evening's trip to Altrincham as Quakers look to build on Saturday's season-opening win against Newport County.[LNB] But the manager could make changes to his substitutes at Moss Lane.[LNB] Only five substitutes are permitted in the Blue Square Bet Premier, compared to seven in the Football League, which on Saturday counted against the likes of Josh Gray, Curtis Main, Corey Barnes and John McReady.[LNB] They'll all get their chance, he insisted. Josh was unlucky to miss out on Saturday.[LNB] He had a bit of an injury during the week so it was touch and go whether he'd be on the bench or not.[LNB] There's every chance he'll come into the squad on Tuesday.[LNB] They've got to be ready and if you're going to be successful and have a strong squad when you get your chance you've got to make sure you take it.[LNB] In line to make his second start for the club this evening is Chris Senior, a summer recruit from Altrincham and the striker is looking forward to facing his former teammates.[LNB] I want to play in every game but when the fixtures came out I looked for this one and couldn't believe it was so soon, said Senior, who spent three-and-a-half years at Moss Lane.[LNB] It's probably a good thing to get it out of the way and hopefully we'll get three points but I'm sure a few of my old friends will be trying to stop me.[LNB] There's been a few nice text messages from my friends there.[LNB] I spoke to a couple of the lads on Friday, wishing each other luck for the season.[LNB] Obviously come Tuesday I'll be wanting to put one over them. I've been having bit of banter with Stuart Coburn, the goalkeeper.[LNB] He was at my wedding in the summer and I've told him if there's a chance I'll be looking to put him in the back of the net![LNB] They're a good club and do really well with the resources they've got.[LNB] The manager hasn't spent a penny on players for the last seven or eight years but it will be a tough season for them because there's a lot of club clubs in the division and even part-time club are spending money now.[LNB] I wish them well, but not on Tuesday.[LNB] There will again be no place for defender Dominik Werling who has told Quakers he wishes to leave the club.[LNB]
