Darlington manager Dave Penney has signed Whitby Town shot-stopper Jack Norton on a one-month contract to provide goalkeeping cover for current first-team regular David Stockdale.
Former York City keeper Stockdale has taken over in goal after Sam Russell picked up an injury and has played in the Quakers' last three League Two games.
Norton failed to make a first-team appearance during his first spell with the Quakers, although he was a regular on the substitute's bench before being released at the end of last season.
Meanwhile, midfielder Anthony Peacock has joined Blyth Spartans on a month's loan.
