Quakers make Milne move

Leeds United's teenage defender Andrew Milne has joined League Two strugglers Darlington on loan until January 2.

The 19-year-old will be reunited with Leeds' former assistant boss Steve Staunton, who is now the Quakers manager.

Meanwhile, Staunton insists he is still trying to draft in more new players as he attempts to lift his side away from the foot of the table.

He told the Northern Echo: "We can attract players alright, it's finance that's the issue and we've got a fairly hefty squad that's been inherited.

"The chairman has been good enough to allow us some movement but we're going to have to move a few out before we get some in.

"It's a case of getting people out so we can bring in fresh bodies. Nothing has happened yet but I'm hoping for some movement before the weekend.

"We're trying all the time to get more players in, but we're restricted in many ways. A lot of clubs are after players."
