Darlington have lost the services of loan striker Kevin Gall, after he was recalled by Carlisle United due to an injury crisis.

The 26-year-old Welshman had featured in eight games for the Quakers, although he had yet to open his goalscoring account for the League Two promotion hopefuls.

Gall joined the Cumbrians in the summer of 2006 from Yeovil Town, but has struggled to retain a regular starting spot, netting 11 times in 75 appearances for the Brunton Park club.

The one-time Newcastle United trainee began his senior career with Bristol Rovers, before heading to Huish Park in February 2003.

Gall also won a handful of caps for Wales Under-21s earlier on in his career.
