Darlington have boosted their promotion-chasing squad with the signing of striker Kevin Gall on a month's loan from Carlisle United.

The 25-year-old joined the Cumbrians in the summer of 2006 from Yeovil Town, having previously played for Bristol Rovers.

In total he has scored 11 goals in 76 appearances for Carlisle, but only three of those have come this season and he has started just one game since mid-November.

Cumbrians boss John Ward told the club's official website: "Kevin wanted first-team football, so we're happy to send him over there so that he gets that.

"We'll be able to look at the situation again when he gets back."
