Darlington manager Dave Penney will have no qualms about thrusting Przemyslaw Kazimierczak into his side for the play-offs should regular goalkeeper David Stockdale fail to recover from injury.
The Polish youngster replaced the injured Stockdale at half-time in Saturday's 2-0 win over Peterborough United.
Stockdale is expected to recover from a foot problem in time for Saturday's play-off semi-final first leg with Rochdale, but Penney was full of praise for Kazimierczak.
"Przemyslaw was excellent when he came on," he said.
"His match-fitness might not be there because there haven't been that many reserve games for him to play, but he did well and kept a clean sheet.
"I'd thought about leaving Stocky out of the side in case he got injured.
"You're usually alright with a goalkeeper, they don't normally get injured that often but it's typical of the way things are going for us."
