Quakers clear the decks

Darlington have released nine players following their failure to win promotion from League Two.
The Quakers lost out to Rochdale in the play-off semi-finals last week and manager Dave Penney has responded by making sweeping changes.
Strikers Julian Joachim, Shaun Reay and Guy Ndumbu-Nsungu, midfielders Clark Keltie, Michael Cummins and Neil Wainwright, plus defenders Scott Wiseman, John Brackstone and Keith Burgess have all been told they will not be offered new contracts.
"This is always a tough time of year for any manager, having to tell players that they no longer have a future with the club," Penney told the club's official website.
"However, tough decisions have had to be made when it comes to doing what is right for the club.
"We have got to keep on developing the squad because you can't afford to stand still in football.
"I am hugely ambitious and, despite the play-off heartbreak, I must now start to prepare for next season when I will be challenging the players that will be here and the new arrivals to go one step further and achieve automatic promotion."
