Quakers' match with Vale postponed
Darlington's Coca-Cola League Two game against Port Vale has been postponed following a pitch inspection this morning.[LNB] Saturday's league match is the fourth consecutive Darlington fixture to be postponed because of the wintry weather.[LNB] The early decision was made by consent of the Football League because of the state of the pitch and the stadium following more snowfall and below-freezing temperatures overnight, on safety grounds, and given tonight's forecast for more snow and plummeting temperatures.[LNB] A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.[LNB]
