Quakers make four changes

Darlington have made four changes for today's game with Gateshead the first competitive meeting between the sides since the 1960s.[LNB] Of the side that played so dismally in Tuesday's home defeat to Grimsby Town, out go Ian Miller, John McReady, Richard Offiong and Josh Gray.[LNB] The absence of Gray and Offiong is no surprise given that they were the first two players subbed by manager Mark Cooper in midweek, while Miller and McReady have injuries.[LNB] They picked up knocks in the week, but Cooper chose not to reveal the severity of their problems ahead of Gateshead's trip to The Northern Echo Arena.[LNB] There is no place on the bench for Offiong, but Gray is a sub as is Curtis Main who makes his first appearance of the season in the matchday squad. Also making his first appearance as a sub is youth team midfielder Phil Gray.[LNB] The four new faces in the line-up are Jamie Chandler, Joe Clarke, Tommy Wright and Michael Smith.[LNB] With Miller out of the side, captain today is midfielder Paul Terry.[LNB] In the Gateshead team is former Quakers left-back Paul Heckingbottom and ex-Hartlepool centre-back Ben Clark.[LNB] Darlington: Russell, Arnison, Hone, Brown, Clarke, G Smith, Chandler, Terry, Wright, Hatch, M Smith. Subs: Jack (gk), P Gray, J Gray, Senior, Main[LNB] Gateshead: Deasy, Baxter, Clark, Jones, Heckingbottom, Brittain, Turnbull, Gate, Marwood, Fisher, Mulligan. Subs: Cook, Nelthorpe, Ferrell, Wake, Brown[LNB]
