Quakers look at trialist Thomas
The 25-year-old was signed by Neil Warnock last summer from Boreham Wood but has made just one first-team appearance as a substitute and has had loan spells with Grays, Rotherham and Ebbsfleet.
New Darlington boss Steve Staunton will run the rule over Thomas this week as he looks to strengthen his squad.
"Simon has joined up with with Darlington for a few days for Steve Staunton to have a look at him in their set-up," said Palace assistant boss Mick Jones.
