Darlington have today completed the signing of striker Liam Hatch.[LNB] The Peterborough United forward returns to The Northern Echo Arena on a six-month loan with the fans' favourite having turned down offers from several clubs to join Quakers.[LNB] The 28-year-old made a favourable impression on Darlington supporters when on loan in the 2008-09 campaign when he scored nine goals in 26 league appearances.[LNB] Manager Mark Cooper, who last week brought in Michael Brough, is delighted with the Hatch's arrival.[LNB] "It was important to get the ball rolling with a few signings and I think the supporters know he's the right kind of player that we need.[LNB] "The supporters know what Liam's about and I'm sure they'll be looking forward to seeing him play.[LNB] "He had one or two offers from other clubs in the Conference but felt it would be the right thing to do to come up here and play for Darlington."[LNB] Hatch is likely to make an appearance in Saturday's home friendly against Sunderland.[LNB] **See more on this story in Thursday's The Northern Echo.[LNB]
