Darlington'S first pre-season friendly against Sunderland is only ten days away and the club is inviting young supporters to take part in the matchday experience.[LNB] Quakers' Saturday Soccer Skills Club will take place for the first time, an event that will see youngsters take part in a 90-minute coaching session followed by the match at The Northern Echo Arena.[LNB] Former Darlington player Neil Maddison, the club's centre of excellence manager, has teamed up with Hummersknott School in the town to arrange the day for seven to 12-year-olds.[LNB] It promises to be a cracking day for all the children,[LNB] said Maddison, who played more than 100 games for his hometown club.[LNB] It's not just about playing football, either. It's a good chance for the more developed players to enhance their skills with us, but it's also an excellent opportunity for youngsters looking to start out or just have a fun day out.[LNB] And for parents it's peace of mind knowing their children are being taken care of by qualified people in a safe environment while they give themselves a break![LNB] The day, which costs £15, starts at 11am and includes coaching at Hummersknott School followed by the Darlington versus Sunderland match on Saturday, July 17 (ko 3pm).[LNB] All children can be collected from the ground and must take their own shirt, shorts, socks, trainers, warm clothes, shin pads, plenty of drinks and a packed lunch.[LNB] To book a place in the skills club or for more details, call Hummersknott School on 01325 246456, or email abs@hummersknott.org.uk[LNB]
